Living, Learning & Moving Smarter

Levante Gate is being planned as a well-connected neighbourhood where homes, education, recreation and local services are closely integrated to support everyday life. The land use framework brings together residential areas, green space and community facilities in a compact layout that makes it easy to move around the Site and access key destinations on foot or by bike.

At the centre of the proposals is a new primary school, located alongside sports pitches to create a shared focus for learning, activity and community use. This central cluster is intended to act as a social heart for the neighbourhood, providing spaces that can be used by residents, families and the wider community throughout the day.

Movement through Levante Gate prioritises walking, cycling and public transport. A network of Redways, footpaths and cycle routes will connect homes with the school, local centre, open spaces and play areas, building on existing routes and creating safe, direct and legible connections across the Site and beyond. A local centre is proposed along the main green corridor, close to existing PRoW, alongside a central mobility hub which could support cycle parking, shared mobility options and access to public transport, helping to reduce reliance on the private car. Improvement works are also expected to Kelly's Kitchen Roundabout.

Together, these elements support the creation of a walkable, inclusive neighbourhood where most everyday journeys can be made within a short walk or cycle. This approach aligns with the principles of the Milton Keynes Strategy for 2050 and helps establish a strong foundation for community life at Levante Gate.
